Great news! We have several training tracks scheduled on the first day of the EMFC in September.

In addition to the sessions listed below, our fantastic technical team will be available during all three days of the conference in our special “Play with Platform” room. This is a practical lounge where you can Aurora and PLEXOS for a spin; check out the enhancements in the latest versions, and get your questions answered!

The following training sessions take place on Wednesday, September 25 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. followed by lunch.

Modeling Fundamentals

Who should attend?
This training is designed for new and novice users to become familiar with modeling platforms.

Why attend? You will:
• Explore how to execute mid-term and short-term production cost models
• Learn how to set up and execute long-term expansion planning models
• Practice setting up stochastic models
• Learn how to set up constraints

PLEXOS Practical Application Training

Who should attend?
This training is designed for users who understand the fundamentals of PLEXOS and have been modeling on the platform for a year or more.

Why attend? You will:
• Learn how to apply sophisticated PLEXOS modeling methods
• Explore and understand the two-model battery and hydro storage
• Discuss and master transmission modeling scenarios
• Gain insights and best practices for gas modeling
• Discover and implement our newest features

Aurora Practical Application Training

Who should attend?
This training is designed for users who understand the fundamentals of Aurora and have been modeling on the platform for a year or more.

Why attend? You will:
• Discover new long-term capacity expansion and automation enhancements
• Explore portfolio optimization
• Master EIM nodal modeling as well as transmission and emissions modeling
• Become proficient in energy storage resources
• Discuss database enhancements
