PLEXOS Cloud Enhancements

Enhanced Charting

Recently enhanced charting introduced new capabilities, including time series and duration curve charts, designed to track time-based trends and support long-term strategic planning. These tools help identify patterns and forecast future changes, providing greater operational efficiency. Duration curves rank data by magnitude, which is particularly useful for resource planning and risk management. Desktop customers who transition to PLEXOS Cloud will gain access to these enhanced charting features, benefiting analysts and reviewers.

New PLEXOS Cloud Marketplace Offering

The PLEXOS Cloud Marketplace accelerates time-to-value by providing centralized access to all Energy Exemplar products, including playbooks, apps, and insights. We’re excited to announce that the first PLEXOS Playbook for North American Gas Fundamentals, is now available, offering comprehensive insights into natural gas market trends.

PLEXOS Cloud C# (Software Development Kit) SDK Cloud Toolkit

This is a new tool designed for automation and integration. It simplifies PLEXOS Cloud CLI commands in C#, making it ideal for customers who require heavy automation. The SDK allows for scalable, customized workflows without relying on the PLEXOS Cloud user interface. This toolkit is especially useful for automation analysts who are familiar with C#.

PLEXOS 10.0 R 07

The latest update, PLEXOS 10.0 R07, continues the consistent improvements and fixes added to PLEXOS 10 with each release. Key updates include:

  • Adjustments to max production defaults, now set to infinite (INF) by default for new gas plants, optimizing workflow consistency
  • Support for co-optimized generator offer bases added
  • Performance improvements for power station modeling
  • New vehicle constraints introduced for cycle coefficients
  • Enhanced performance for nodal transmission runs
