The ISO's previous long-range Economic Study showed the resource and demand mix of the future New England grid requires new approaches to modeling. This presentation overviews how the ISO is utilizing PLEXOS and its various capacities, including Capacity Expansion, to bring clarity to different potential futures. The ISO is also coordinating with its PLEXOS-using-ISO neighbors to collaborate on how to model the future grid and each other's systems.
